More than $339,000 raised for Make-A-Wish Foundation

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The hard work of volunteers and the big hearts of Region 8 residents led to one of the most successful Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thons, with more than $339,000 raised from in a 13-hour span.

Friday, Region 8 donated $339,410. All of that money will stay to grant the wishes of children in northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri.

All day Friday, the 2015 Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thon Region 8 heard heart-warming stories of children who have received their wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation by KAIT and the Jonesboro Radio Group.

There were also several road blocks set up, where both Jonesboro locations brought in more than $50,000 combined. Other cities participated as well.
