LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a woman's body has been found in a fire-damaged house in Little Rock. The woman, believed to be homeless, was discovered inside the residence about 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Crews searched the home after witnesses reported seeing the woman inside, but firefighters were forced outside when the roof began to sag from the weight of snow that had fallen. Fire Capt. Jason Weaver said firefighters shored up the roof, searched the house and found the victim.
Weaver says firefighters performed CPR on the same woman in June when they found her in the residence after responding to a call. The state crime lab is working to determine the exact cause of death, but Pulaski County Coroner Garland Camper said there was no major trauma to her body.
