ASU Baseball's chance at a Saluki sweep rained out

Jonesboro (KAIT) - The third game of Arkansas State's three-game weekend series against Southern Illinois has been cancelled due to inclement weather with conditions not expected to improve throughout the day.

ASU swept both games already played this weekend, winning 14-5 over the Salukis Friday and by a 5-3 margin Saturday afternoon.

But the rain didnt damper head coach Tommy Raffo's mood. "First of all it was a great weekend. The temperature was great and getting out there for two days. The guys were fired up wanting to play and that's a big part of it too. The opponent we faced was very good, just so happened we were able to jump on them pretty quick in both games, and it ended up being the right outcome for us."

The Red Wolves will be back on the diamond Tuesday, Feb. 23 when they travel to Oxford, MS to take on the Rebels of Ole Miss in a 3:00 p.m. matchup.
