LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Two men are behind bars after they fled from police officers.
According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Timethy Rainey and Joseph Parks were arrested after they fled from an attempted traffic stop near Hoxie.
Police say they tried pulling the truck over, instead Rainey & Parks pulled in a residence and then Rainey fled. Police caught up with him a short time later.
Police say the truck came back stolen, and several syringes were hidden on Rainey at the time of the arrest. The truck also had $10,000 in tools that was reported stolen from Kentucky.
Both men are charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fleeing. Rainey had his bond set at $75,000 and Parks had his bon set at $20,000. Rainey also had a warrant from Alabama for illegal purchase of Pseudoephedrine.
Both are incarcerated in the Lawrence County Jail and are set to appear in a Lawrence County Circuit Court on March 19.
