BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Mountain Home woman is behind bars charged with possession of Oxycodone after a traffic stop.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Department, police stopped Rachel Mackercher after police noticed erratic driving along Highway 62 near the Fulton County line.

Police say Mackercher gave the deputy consent to search her car, that's when police say they found a zip lock bag containing 5 pills suspected to be a controlled substance. The pills were later identified as Oxycodone Hydrochloride, for which the driver did not have a prescription.

Merkercher is charged with possession of a controlled substance as was released from jail after posting a $2,500 bond. Her next court appearance is set for February 25.
