ASU Hires Hugh Freeze As New Offensive Coordinator

Jonesboro (KAIT) - Less than a week after losing Clay Helton to USC, Arkansas State has found a new offensive coordinator.

According to Scott Cacciola at the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Hugh Freeze has resigned his post as San Jose State's offensive coordinator to come to Jonesboro.

Freeze spent the last two seasons as head coach at NAIA school Lambuth University in Jackson, TN, compiling a 20-5 record. Before going to Lambuth, Freeze was an assistant at Ole Miss. He was a finalist for the Red Wolves offensive coordinator position in December before Clay Helton was hired.

He cited family reasons for leaving San Jose State.
