JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Future politicians converged at Arkansas State University this weekend at the Arkansas Political Science Association meeting held every year at a university in the state.
The two day conference featured speakers from different universities across the state and from Louisiana and Texas.
Dr. William Mclean, Director of the Masters of Political Science program at ASU said this meeting is a great resource for students to continue their education and get new ideas about politics.
"It's basically a discussion of various political topics research ongoing research in the field and just sort of get together and keep up on current trends," said Mclean.
Retiring Congressman Marion Berry was scheduled to attend the meeting at ASU but was unable to attend.
