Severe weather moves through Region 8

Jonesboro, AR (KAIT) -  The first severe weather threat of the season is making its way through Region 8.  Nearly all of Region 8 is under a tornado watch until 2:00am as a group of storms marches north and east across Arkansas and southern Missouri. 

A watch means conditions are favorable for severe weather.  The National Weather Service says there is the potential for severe thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes through the evening and overnight hours. 

The Region 8 Storm Team is tracking this developing weather situation and will break into programming with the latest information on KAIT.
