ASU's Reed, Brady receive district honors

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has selected Arkansas State freshman Brandon Reed and coach John Brady for District VII honors.

Reed was named to the All-District team after leading the Red Wolves in scoring at 15.1 points per game. He also broke the school's freshman scoring record that was held by Jerry Rook.

Brady is the district's Coach of the Year after leading ASU to a 17-14 record in his second year at the school.

The USBWA selects a player and coach of the year and all-district teams in nine regions across the U.S.
