Arkansas handily beats South Dakota St. 21-2

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Matt Vinson and Bo Bigham had four RBIs each, and Arkansas pitchers allowed just six hits in a 21-2 victory over South Dakota State.

The Razorbacks (9-3) scored in all but three innings, including a 10-run eighth inning in which Vinson had a three-run triple and Bigham hit a run-scoring single.

RBIs from Zach Briggs and Erik DeJong got the Jackrabbits (6-3) as close as 3-2 in the fourth inning but Arkansas scored in the bottom half of the inning, then later tacked on 17 more runs.

Randall Fant (1-0) allowed no hits or runs to pick up the victory. D.J. Baxendale earned his fourth save.

Stephen Bougher (0-1) allowed five hits and four runs in 3 1-3 innings.
