HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Dionte Williams scored 20 points to lead Earle to a 72-46 victory over Manila in the boys Class 3A championship game.
Williams, a 5-foot-8 senior guard, had 15 points in the second half as the Bulldogs (29-5) won their second state title in three years on Thursday. Michael Wilson and Michael Perkins each had 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Archie Allen scored 12.
Manila (29-7) led 12-8 after the first quarter but trailed 24-22 at halftime. It took the Bulldogs a little more than half of the third quarter to get a double-digit lead.
The Lions, who last won a state title in 1962, were led by Blake Wheeler with 21 points and Kam Ashabranner with 11.
