2 die in head-on crash in southeast Missouri

SILVA, Mo. (AP) - Two people have died in a head-on crash in southeast Missouri's Wayne County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victims as 64-year-old Lloyd D. Freeman and 36-year-old Michelle L. Lampley, both of Poplar Bluff.

They died Friday night when the car Lampey was driving crossed the centerline of U.S. 67 and collided with a sport utility vehicle. The driver of the SUV was taken in an ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
