BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Region 8 business man holds an accused burglar at gunpoint until police arrived on scene.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Department, the owner of ‘Simply Beautiful Salon" was responding to a burglary alarm at his business around 3:30 Monday morning, when he caught the man as he was leaving the business.

As police were responding to the call, the Sheriff's Office was told the business owner was detaining the suspect at gunpoint.

Deputies say Joshua Ray Theobald had a BB pistol on him, and police recovered $225 in cash, a pocket knife, flashlight, and three lighters.

Theobald told investigators that he had an accomplice also involved in the robbery; police are still investigating that charge.

Theobald is charged with commercial burglary, theft of property, and probation violation. Theobald was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center, and his bond was set at $30,000.
