Police: Domestic stabbing lands one in the hospital

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police spent Tuesday afternoon on Westwood Drive trying to figure out what caused a father to stab his 18-year-old son.

According to Jonesboro Police, the stabbing happened at 1804 Westwood Drive around 12:15, when a father stabbed his son.

When police arrived on scene, they found the father holding the knife with blood all around the house. He was placed under arrest, and the victim ran from the scene and was able to have a relative take him to a local hospital.

No word yet on the victim's condition.

Police are still investigating, and have no yet released the names of those involved.

Jonesboro Police say the suspect is being committed to a local mental health facility, for psychiatric treatment and observation.
