JONESBORO, Ark. -- One Arkansas State University student wants everyone in Region 8 to support our soldiers fighting in the Middle East as much as she does.

"I read a news article last week about some teenagers throwing rocks at service men and women," student Amber Callahan said. "It's just really frustrating and overwhelming to see all the anti-war sentiment everywhere."

Callahan has organized a 'Support Our Troops' poster contest for high school students. The artwork must display a pro-troop message. The winner will receive a $50 savings bond.

Students that wish to participate can turn in their entries at local Pizza Inn restaurants. Personal and school information must be written on the back of the poster.

An art professor from Arkansas State will judge the posters on May 1. Entries will then be displayed throughout Jonesboro. The deadline to enter is April 30.
