CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) - According to the Caruthersville Police Department, the body of a man was been found beaten to death.
Officers were dispatched to Apartment 29 of the East Haven Apartment Complex after being advised of an accident.
There they found the body of 64-year-old Henry Bell in his neighbor's apartment.
The cause of death has been determined to be blunt force trauma. A hammer and knife, were found at the crime scene, and are thought to be the weapons used in the homicide.
Bell's neighbor, 49-year-old Don Cagle, has been charged with First Degree Murder and is currently being held without bond.
His arraignment will be Monday morning in a Pemiscot County courtroom.
At this time, no motive has been established for the murder.
