FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The city of Fayetteville has been rated the No. 7 college sports town in America by Forbes Magazine.
The magazine uses several factors in the rankings - including the success of the University of Arkansas' varsity sports teams. Also considered are crime rates, quality of life, cost of living, cost of housing and the public school system.
Ann Arbor, Mich., the home of the University of Michigan is No. 1 on the list for the second straight year. Chapel Hill, N.C., the home of the University of North Carolina, is No. 2 and Norman, the home of the University of Oklahoma is No. 3.
