Cards' Pujols has MRI exam, shot for tight back

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) - St. Louis Cardinals star Albert Pujols has taken an anti-inflammatory shot for tightness in his back and is expected to be out of action for the next couple of days.

Cardinals manager John Mozeliak says Pujols had an MRI exam on Monday. The GM says he doesn't think Pujols' back problem will continue causing trouble.

Pujols missed a week earlier this spring because of lower back pain. The 3-time NL MVP described that problem as feeling like spasms.

Pujols was scratched from the lineup for Monday's exhibition game against Boston.
