WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (KAIT) - Williams Baptist College baseball coach John Katrosh now has 400 career coaching wins to his credit, after his Eagles swept a doubleheader at Harris-Stowe on Saturday. In reaching Katrosh's milestone, WBC notched two big American Midwest Conference wins.
"This is a great milestone, and we are delighted to share it with Coach Katrosh," said WBC Athletic Director Jeff Rider. "John plays the game the way it should be played, with integrity and a love for the sport, so it is really rewarding to see him achieve this accomplishment."
The baseball Eagles, who dropped a twin bill to HSSU on Friday, bounced back to even the series on Saturday in St. Louis. WBC rolled to a win in the first game, 8-3, and then took the second contest, 5-2.
"It's just a blessing. I have been blessed to work with a lot of great players and great teams over the years," Katrosh said. "I give God all the glory." The coach is in his 11th season at WBC.
Saturday's wins put the Eagles at 14-11 for the season and 2-2 in the AMC.
