ASU Women's Golf team wraps up action at John Kirk/Panther

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - The Arkansas State women's golf team finished action at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate Tuesday with a combined team score of 973 for all three rounds finishing 13th in the event.

Freshman Anna Carling captured her third straight top 10 finishing pacing the Red Wolves with a combined score of 228 over the three rounds which placed her tied for seventh in the field. Carlin posted rounds of 76, 75 and finished action with a 77 on the final day.

Senior Cassie Huffer posted a tournament best 78 during action on day two and finished with a combined score of 244 for a 45th place finish.

Freshman Jennifer Loiacano posted a 254 and senior Adrian Sportsman carded a 263 rounding out the field for ASU. Jennifer Welch competed during day one but had to withdraw during action on day two.

Georgia State won the event led by Catherine Madsen who posted a tournament best 221. GSU finished the action with a combined team score of 905 strokes.

The Red Wolves return to the links at the UALR Women's Golf Classic Monday in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
