Sedalia police consider man's death a homicide

SEDALIA, MO (AP) - Sedalia police say a man was shot to death in his home over the weekend.

Thirty-year-old Michael E. Smith was found dead in his home early Sunday. Police Commander Larry Ward says Smith was shot several times. He says several people were in the home at the time but Smith was the only one hurt.

The Sedalia Democrat reports that Ward says Smith was in the kitchen and the other people were in different areas and didn't see the shooter. No one has been arrested.
