SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A routine traffic stop leads police to find multiple drugs, syringes, all with a child in the car.
According to the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, a deputy spotted car along Highway 230 being driven by Thomas King, who had a warrant out for his arrest.
When police made the stop, the officer witnessed the passenger, Jamie Rudick, kick something under the car.
The officer found a plastic container with several baggies of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. Also in the container were syringes and a powerful antipsychotic drug called Seroquel.
Both King and Rudick were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The child riding in the car was turned over to a family member.
