Arkansas man shot by Missouri police dies

SOUTHWEST CITY, Mo. (AP) - An Arkansas man shot by police after a chase in McDonald County has died.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Bobby L. Stacy of Gravette, Ark., died Monday at a Tulsa hospital.

The Joplin Globe reports that Stacy was shot early Sunday by a Southwest City police officer after a chase. The patrol says the chase started after officers tried to stop Stacy's vehicle and ended when the car crashed.

Patrol Sgt. Mike Watson says Stacy was shot after the crash, but declined to provide details of what led to the shooting.
