Sex offender runs from Region 8 police; caught with meth; and more

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Region 8 police arrest a man after he forced another car off the road, and then finds a large quantity of meth on him.

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, while police tried to pull Gerald Hicks over, Hicks rammed a bail bondsman's car off the road while trying to outrun police.

When police pulled Hicks over, they also found a large amount of meth on him.

Police say Hicks is also a convicted sex offender who is delinquent on his registration. Hicks is also charged with possession of a controlled substance and aggravated assault.

Hicks is currently being held in the Lawrence County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
