Arkansas beats Centenary 9-4 in baseball

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Brett Eibner had three RBIs and Arkansas pitchers allowed just three hits in the Razorbacks' 9-4 victory over Centenary in college baseball.

Down 4-0, the Razorbacks (20-5) rallied in the third inning Wednesday when James McCann scored on a wild pitch and Eibner hit a two-run homer.

Tim Carver drove in the game-tying run in the fourth, then Arkansas took a 7-4 lead during a three-run sixth inning. Two seventh-inning insurance runs came on RBI doubles by Eibner and Monk Kreder.

Eibner finished 2 for 4. Pitcher Michael Tompkins went 1 for 4 with three RBIs for Centenary (8-12).

Arkansas reliever T.J. Forrest won, allowing one hit and no runs in two innings.

Tompkins (1-2) lost, allowing eight hits and seven runs in six innings for the Gents.
