Hoxie man Id'd as driver of gravel truck who died in fiery crash

LIGHT, AR (KAIT) – The driver killed in a gravel truck that flipped into a ditch and caught fire is identified by Arkansas State Police as Jerry Dewayne McLaughlin of Hoxie.

According to the Arkansas State Police, it appears the truck was traveling east on Highway 412 when the right front tire of the truck blew, causing it to run off the road and flip into a nearby ditch.

The Greene County Fire Department responded to the scene after receiving several reports that the truck was fully engulfed in flames after flipping into a ditch.

Police are still investigating what caused the truck to burst into flames.
