Five arrested in early morning drug roundup

STEELE, MO (KAIT) – An early morning roundup lands five Region 8 residents in jail.

On Thursday, April 1, Pemiscot County Sheriff's deputies, along with members of the Steele Police Department and the Bootheel Drug Task Force arrested five people in Steele, Missouri.

The suspects face a variety of drug charges, including delivery of a controlled substance and attempt to manufacture a controlled substance.

All are being held without bond at the Pemiscot County Jail.

The arrests came after officers conducted a clandestine investigation involving the sale and manufacture of meth.

The suspects arrested are:

  • 25-year-old Larry Turner of Steele, arrested on Delivery of a Controlled Substance, no bond set.
  • 26-year-old Joey Channell of Steele, arrested on Delivery of a Controlled Substance, no bond set.
  • 49-year-old Billy Lucas, Sr. of Steele, arrested on Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, no bond set.
  •  37-year-old Christopher Lancaster of Steele, arrested on Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, no bond set.
  • 31-year-old Jennifer Abbott of Steele, arrested on Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, no bond set.
