Huntsville principal arrested for drunken driving

HUNTSVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Police say the principal of Huntsville High School was arrested this weekend on suspicion of drunken driving. Michael Gray faces misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and driving left of center.

Police say Gray was pulled over early Saturday morning at the intersection of College Avenue and Lafayette Street in Fayetteville. According to police, Gray told officers he'd had one or two beers, but he failed four field sobriety tests.

Police say he later took a blood-alcohol test and registered 0.12, which is above Arkansas' legal limit of 0.08. He was taken to the Washington County jail, where he was released on a $910 bond. He's due in Fayetteville District Court Monday morning. A phone number for Gray rang unanswered Sunday.
