Poinsett Co. man accused of 9 arson's due back in court July

TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) – The Poinsett County man accused of nine counts of arson was in court Monday afternoon.

Poinsett County Prosecuting Attorney Marty Lilly says, Timothy Biggers went before a judge Monday afternoon, and had his trial date continued until July 2. If no plea can be reached on that day, he's set to go to trial the week of July 12-15.

Biggers is accused of setting fire to his own home, twice, as well as his neighbor's home twice.

Bigger had a mental evaluation done in this case and prosecutors are hoping this case can be settled before going to trial.

Biggers was arrested in October of last year.
