Jonesboro (KAIT) - Two players in the Natural State were recognized by CollegeBaseball360.com for their performances on this diamond this past weekend.
ASU and Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week Jacob Lee is on the CB360 Primetime Performer Weekly Honor Roll. The right-hander from Jonesboro High struck out eight batters in 6.2 innings to get the win and help ASU earn the series victory in Sunday's decisive game three against #18 Western Kentucky. Lee held the Hilltoppers, who came into the series averaging 9.5 runs per game, to a single run in the Sunday finale. He surrendered just five hits, all singles, along the way. After giving up three hits and walking in a run in the first three innings, Lee settled in and retired the next 12 batters he faced to put the Red Wolves in position to earn the win. He threw a career-high 122 pitches and held the Hilltoppers to a .222 batting average.
Razorback outfielder Collin Kuhn is also on the Honor Roll this week. The Beaver Dam, WI native capped Arkansas' come-from-behind win in Sunday's series finale against Kentucky with a two-out grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the Razorbacks to a 17-16 win.
Kuhn was strong all week in games against Centenary and Kentucky. In the club's five games last week, Kuhn posted a .522 batting average (12-for-23) with two home runs, nine RBI and 10 runs scored. The Razorback sophomore also had a .577 on-base percentage and .870 slugging percentage during the week.
