BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Region 8 man was arrested after shooting a arrow at another man, and then threatening him with a knife.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Department, Lloyd Yeatman got into an altercation with another man outside his residence on Baxter County Road 476 near Clarkridge.

Police say several people were involved in the argument, but Yeatman went into his home after being separated from the fight and grabbed a bow and arrow. When he got back outside he shot the arrow at the man he had been fighting with and missed the man, but almost hit another woman.

Police say Yeatman then ran to his truck and grabbed a knife and began chasing the man down County Road 476 threatening to stab him.

Yeatman was inside his residence when police arrived, and surrendered to police without incident.

Yeatman is charged with aggravated assault and battery in the third degree. His bond was set at $25,000 and is set to appear in court again on April 15.
