Auditors cite Ark. Medicaid eligibility questions

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Auditors for the state say they've turned up several people getting Medicaid services though they weren't eligible to take part in the program.

Deputy Legislative Auditor Charles Fiser told a committee of lawmakers Friday that the state Department of Human Services, which runs the Medicaid program in Arkansas, is working aggressively to see that better eligibility decisions are made.

Fiser said auditors found 19 people who shouldn't have been getting benefits, out of 155 whose cases were examined.
