WHITE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Region 8 police conduct a two-week investigation into online prostitution that leads to two people being arrested.

According to the White County Sheriff's Department, Rebecca Dunavan of Searcy and David Patrick of Thida were arrested on prostitution charges after placing an ad on Craigslist.

Police say Dunavan posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a "Sugar Daddy." Undercover cops replied to the ad and set up a place to meet after multiple text and e-mail messages where exchanged. Police say Dunavan also requested the person bring some prescription pain pills for payment of sex.

Police went to Dunavan's home at 909 West Arch Street in Searcy, where she was arrested for prostitution and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance without a prescription.  She is in the White County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

A few days' later police received a text message on one of Dunavan's phones from David Patrick. Police say Patrick stated he was in town and had money and wanted to meet Dunavan. Police replied to the text giving a specific location to meet Patrick.

Police say Patrick showed up at the arranged location and police arrested and charged him with sexual solicitation. Patrick was released with a citation and given a court date of May 11.
