Authorities identify man found in Arkansas River

FORT SMITH, AR (AP) - Fort Smith police have identified a man whose body was discovered in the Arkansas River last week.

Police said in a news release Monday that the Arkansas State Crime Lab used fingerprints to identify the man as Tommy Harlow of Fort Smith.

Authorities say a man and his 3-year-old grandson were walking along the river Wednesday afternoon when the man saw Harlow's body.

The release says the circumstances surrounding Harlow's death are still under investigation.
