Shuttle Flies Over Region 8

The space shuttle Discovery landed safely this morning at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, but not before giving region 8 sky-watchers a treat.

The shuttle Discovery flew over Region 8 around 7:50 a.m. and if you looked hard enough, you could see the shuttle as it streaked across the western then southern sky.  There were no reports of any sonic booms.

The shuttle wrapped up a 15 day mission to the International Space Station.
