LORAIN COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - One man really wants to take a bite out of crime.

Andrew Whiteman - who claims to be a 100-year-old vampire - is in big trouble after threatening to kill deputies and suck their blood.

Whiteman was inebriated, dripping wet and muddy when he was arrested during the predawn hours on Saturday trying to break into a drug store because he allegedly needed cash.

The 21-year-old man became verbally abusive to the arresting officers, and threatened to kill one deputy and his family. He then taunted that he could smell the officers blood from the backseat of the cruiser.

Whiteman was placed in restraints after arriving at the jail, but not before telling a female employee that he wanted to eat her kidney.

Deputies say that when Whiteman sobered up, he was apologetic and embarrassed about his behavior.

He has since bonded out and is due to appear before a judge in Oberlin Municipal Court on April 28th at 2PM.
