UPDATE: Body found in Pemiscot County identified

PEMISCOT COUNTY (KAIT)--According to Pemiscot County Sheriff, Tommy Greenwell, the body found on Tuesday has been identified as Gordon Lee Williams of Harrogate, Tennessee.

The vehicle of 62 year old Williams was towed from Highway I-55 on March 15th of 2010 by the Missouri State Highway Patrol after being abandoned at the 11.2 mile marker.

His body wasn't found until Tuesday by a construction worker.

The cause of death appears to be a gunshot wound and evidence leads to suicide; however, the cause of death is still being investigated by the Sheriff's Office, the Highway Patrol's division of Drug and Crime Control, and the Pemiscot County Coroner's Office.
