Arkansas coaches aim for competitive spring game

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Tyler Wilson will quarterback the Red team Saturday night in Arkansas' spring game, which coaches hope will be an exciting, competitive contest between two evenly matched squads.

With starting quarterback Ryan Mallett recovering from a foot injury, Wilson is the most experienced of the team's remaining signal callers. He and Brandon Mitchell will play quarterback for the Red team, and Nick Petrino and Jacoby Walker will play for the White team.

Offensive coordinator Garrick McGee said Wednesday that coaches tried to split the teams up fairly evenly. The last couple of spring games have been lopsided affairs with little drama on the scoreboard.
