Benton Co judge arrested on misdemeanors

BENTONVILLE, AR (AP) - A Benton County administrator has been arrested for allegedly violating ethics for county government officers and employees.

Judge Dave Bisbee was arrested Wednesday on several misdemeanor counts, including unlawful judicial intention. A jailer said Bisbee had been released from custody.

According to a jail release report, Bisbee is scheduled to make a court appearance June 7.

The 63-year-old Bisbee, a former Arkansas legislator, was elected county judge in November 2008 and took office in January 2009. In Arkansas, a county judge is the title given to a county's top administrative officer.

A call to Bisbee's residence in Rogers wasn't immediately returned Wednesday night.
