ASU Track and Field heads to ULM Warhawk Invitational

Jonesboro (ASU) – The Arkansas State track & field teams will head to Monroe, La. this Saturday for the ULM Warhawk Invitational to participate in the teams' final tune up for the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships.

The Red Wolves enter competition in Monroe with 10 top five rankings in the current Sun Belt leader board, including sitting atop two categories.

Sophomore Stephanie Foreman ranks first in the Sun Belt in the women's pole vault and senior Jesse Williams ranking first in the men's discus on the men's side.

ASU also has second-place rankings with Soloman Williams in the 110 hurdles, Samantha Salinas in the 10K, and multiathletes Taylor Short and Kaneshia Hicks each sitting in second-place entering competition this weekend.

Action begins Saturday with the field events. The hammer throw and the javelin kick off at 10:30 while running events begin at 1 with the 4X100 meter relays.
