MAMMOTH SPRING (KAIT) - Arkansas State Police say an semi tractor-trailer accident is blocking US Highway 63 five miles south of Mammoth Spring.

An ethanol tanker has overturned into a ditch and is leaking fuel. Officials say almost a thousand gallons has leaked out so far.

Hazmat officials say the fuel has also leaked under the way as well, presenting a problem for crews trying to clean up the mess. They have also brought in another tanker to pump out the remaining ethanol in the damaged truck.

Police say it will still be a few hours before the road will be back open.

Arkansas State Police are advising people to avoid the area.
