Tip leads Region 8 police to red phosphorus meth lab

WHITE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Region 8 Police receive a tip on drug activity that leads to a meth lab bust and one man in jail.

According to the White County Sheriff's Department, a tip came in about suspicious activity at 231 Wadley Road in Romance.

When police went to the home they found "red phosphorus" meth lab, and arrested the home owner John Pitner. A quantity of meth was also found in the home.

Police arrested Pitner and charged him with manufacturing of meth, possession of meth with intent to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pitner is currently in the White County Jail.

    According to Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller, two teenagers, who were both seniors in high school, are dead after a train versus truck crash near County Road 154 north of Corning.
