Missouri hoops headed to Mexican resort

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Spring break is coming early for members of the 2010-11 Missouri men's basketball team.

The Tigers will spend Thanksgiving week in Cancun, Mexico, for a holiday tournament at the Aventura Palace and Spa. Providence, LaSalle, Wyoming, North Florida and three teams yet to be determined complete the Cancun Challenge field.

Missouri will play 2 of the tournament teams at Mizzou Arena before the Mexico trip. The tournament site was changed to accommodate a United Nations climate summit in late November at another Cancun resort.

Thanksgiving holiday tournaments are becoming a tradition under Missouri coach Mike Anderson. The Tigers visited South Padre Island, Texas in 2009 and San Juan, Puerto Rico the previous year.
