Hogs Brett Eibner and Zack Cox on Golden Spikes Award Watch List

Fayetteville (AP) - Two Arkansas players are on the Golden Spikes Award Watch List.

The list released Tuesday includes Zack Cox and Brett Eibner. Cox leads Arkansas and is second in the Southeastern Conference with a .443 batting average. He leads the SEC with 82 hits and shares the top spot with teammate Collin Kuhn with 54 runs scored.

Eibner has had an SEC-high 16 home runs, including seven in the past 11 games. He is hitting .325 this season and is fourth in the conference with a .688 slugging percentage.

The Golden Spikes Award is given to the top amateur baseball player in the country. It will be presented July 13.
