JEFFERSON CITY, MO (AP) - A southwest Missouri town is getting a $7.6 million loan to improve its wastewater systems.
The state Department of Natural Resources announced the loan Tuesday to the town of El Dorado (duh-RAY'-doh) Springs. The agency says the town will use the funds to build a wastewater treatment plant and make improvements to a pump station.
The loan comes from a fund coordinated by DNR and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
El Dorado Springs, a town of about 3,700, is located in Cedar County.
