1st ArkansasVarsity.com All-State Football Combine Saturday in Jonesboro

Jonesboro (ArkansasVarsity.com) - The First Annual ArkansasVarsity.com All-State Football Combine is scheduled to take place this Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Jonesboro High School.

Nearly 200 prospects from across the Natural State have signed up to take part in this monumental event.

Entries have come in from as far west as Greenwood, as far south as El Dorado and Junction City, and all points in between. Entries have also been received from Memphis, Tennessee.

The combine will kick off with registration and check in at 8AM at Jonesboro High School's field house. Jonesboro High School is located at 301 Hurricane Drive Jonesboro, AR 72401.

Events each prospect will be tested on include the Forty-Yard-Dash, Vertical Jump, Bench Press, and the Twenty-Yard Shuttle (Pro Agility). We will also have position drills, one-on-one drills, then break into a 7-on-7 type competition to allow the quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers to take on the linebackers and defensive backs. The linemen will also have drills to compete in.

At the end of the testing sessions, the coaches who helped to run the event, and ArkansasVarsity.com Publisher Luke Matheson will announce the Combine MVP, and other award winners.
