Runners and walkers were at Craighead Forest Park for the cancer fighting society's 5-K for life. This event not only allows people get out and get active, but also gives them the satisfaction of knowing they're helping others.

"They're running for the American Cancer Society.  They're giving money for a good cause and doing something they like to do so I think that's important," said runner Whitney Cox.

The 5-K raised nearly $1,000.  This was the second year the event took place.
