Lots of Arkansas Democrats at Obama graduation speech

PINE BLUFF, AR (AP) - Plenty of Arkansas Democrats were on hand to listen to Michelle Obama's commencement address to graduates of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Well before the Saturday ceremony began, Arkansas Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor were mingling with people in the audience, shaking hands and posing for pictures. So was Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, running in the Democratic primary against Lincoln, who is seeking a third term.

Obama acknowledged Gov. Mike Beebe, who was on the stage with her, his wife Ginger, the Senate delegation and state Attorney General Dustin McDaniel. Absent from her greeting list was Halter.
