Visitors hoping to get a new taste of cooking at the Convocation Center

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-If you've been looking to be inspired in the kitchen, Region 8 residents needed to look no further than Arkansas State University's Convocation Center.

The "Taste of Home Cooking School" set up this afternoon to give hands on lessons to audience members.

Jamie Dunn, culinary expert for Taste of Home, cooked a variety of quick and easy meals.

Members of the Jonesboro Radio Group say there was a purpose in offering the event to the community.

Kembralyn Ligons, "We brought Taste of Home Cooking School to the Convocation Center to get families back into the kitchen and to let them know that cooking is fun."

Attendants received a goody bag from local vendors and national sponsors and a chance to win one thousand dollars worth of door prizes.
