LITTLE ROCK, AR (AP) - U.S. Rep. John Boozman says he will take a bus tour across Arkansas to focus his U.S. Senate race on putting more Arkansans to work.
Boozman announced Tuesday that he will leave Rogers on Friday on his "Driving for Jobs" tour.
Boozman says he has a plan for creating jobs that are "sustainable." He says he wants to change the tax system so it encourages jobs creation. He also says he wants greater American access to foreign markets, jobs training for younger workers and a mandate for a balanced federal budget.
Boozman is among eight Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for the seat now held by Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln.
Boozman's tour is to include stops in Harrison, Mountain Home, Batesville, Heber Springs, Searcy, Cabot, Hot Springs and Arkadelphia, among others.
